In one of Florida’s most prestigious residential developments, located on a private island in Biscayne Bay, Psagot Playgrounds was chosen to design and manufacture a compact yet luxurious playground that would stand out despite the site’s unusual shape and space limitations.

About the Project and the Process

The playground at Prive Island Estates was designed for an exclusive condominium community surrounded by the bay on all sides. The available area was roughly the size of a tennis court but shaped like a teardrop, which required creative planning and engineering solutions to make optimal use of the limited space.

The final design includes the Detroit Extreme Play System, a bird’s nest swing, two benches, and custom shading structures, all harmoniously integrated within the landscape of this luxurious island.

The result is a playground that feels both elegant and inviting, offering residents a special space for recreation and family connection.

Client Requirements

The client requested a playground that would complement the island’s architectural style and deliver a unique play experience for residents’ children, all within a limited and irregularly shaped area.

The emphasis was on quality, aesthetics, and functionality—without compromising on design excellence.

Design Process

Working with complex spatial and structural constraints, our design team developed multiple layout options until achieving the perfect balance between functionality, safety, and aesthetics. Every post, bench, and shading column was carefully placed to maximize the play experience while maintaining an open and refined appearance.

The playground’s visual language draws inspiration from the island’s organic shape and waterfront views.

Soft curves, natural materials, and subtle color contrasts create harmony between the play area and the surrounding architecture.

The overall look reflects the serenity and exclusivity of Prive Island Estates, offering a space that blends beauty, movement, and joy.
